Scott Tarantino has taught music in the Sharon Public Schools in Sharon, Massachusetts, since 1995. He teaches K through 5 classroom music and clarinet and percussion lessons at their Heights Elementary School.

Scott leads the Tungurura Marimba Band for elementary students in Sharon. Since its inception, the program has grown into five different groups for students in grades 4 to 9. The Turgurura Marimba Bands have performed at the Massachusetts Music Educators Conference and at the American Orff Schulwerk Association’s National Conference in Pittsburgh. Scott earned an MMED at Central Connecticut State University, and is Level III-Certified in Orff Schulwerk.

Scott has presented workshops at the Massachusetts Music Educators Conference and at the Massachusetts General Music Festival. He has taught marimba for the World Music Drumming Program and is a past president of the New England Chapter of the American Orff Schulwerk Association.

David Ruggiero teaches elementary music in the Medfield Public Schools in Medfield, Massachusetts. He has composed many social competency songs used as part of the school’s monthly assemblies. He also teaches Grade Four strings and co-teaches and accompanies fourth and fifth grade orchestra. David leads the Ngoma Dzakanaka Marimba Band.

David graduated from Rhode Island College and earned his Masters Degree in Education from Lesley University, where the focus of study was the integration of the arts. He is Level III-Certified in Orff Schulwerk.

David has served as a clinician at the Massachusetts Music Educators Conference and has taught at the Massachusetts General Music Festival. He serves on the Board of Directors for both the New England Chapter of the American Orff Schulwerk Association and the Society for General Music of Massachusetts. One of his compositions was used as part of the marimba curriculum in the World Music Drumming Program.
